Andy D'Angelo started teaching while working for a global company called Itek Graphic Products. He was responsible for interfacing between Itek and the end source users of their graphic arts equipment. This interfacing led to Andy's having to virtually retrain photographers, printers, newspaper personnel and graphic arts professionals in the newest methods of modernizing their production methods to streamline output and of course, get the most out of the Itek product. Andy worked with Hess's Department store, Boscov's, Gimbels in Philadelphia, The Inquirer, The Philadelphia Bulletin, Penn DOT, The Pennsylvania State Police, many small printing shops, privately owned businesses with in house print shops, and a few colleges, one of which was Luzerne County Community College.

After leaving Itek corporation, Andy opened up D'Angelo Photography and took on a role as Professor at Luzerne County Community College (LCCC). At that time LCCC was renowned for its art department, having on staff nationally recognized illustrators and painters, so it was quite an honor to be accepted to teach basic Photography there. Within a few short months, Andy wrote course descriptions, and obtained approval to teach Advanced Photography, Color Photography, B&W Printing and Graphic Communication Methods. As D'Angelo Photography grew it became harder to commute to LCCC, so Andy left that position, but immediately began teaching Basic Photography within the Adult Evening Division at Reading Area Community College (RACC). After teaching there for almost 30 years, RACC recently discontinued all their Adult Continuing classes.

Throughout the years, Andy had held Professional seminars on Fashion Photography, Portraiture, Still Life Photography, conducted corporate seminars for in house photographers, and continued to work with some small printing shops teaching them better ways to handle reproducing images on a printing press. Andy has partnered with these fine groups and held seminars on their behalf: The Jewish Community Center, Muhlenburg Township Recreation Center, Berks County Conservancy, and The Berks Camera Club.

Currently Andy, holds many in studio seminars covering topics such as: Basic Photography, Advanced Photography, Intro to Your Digital camera, Better portraits, Still Life Photography, Introduction to Photoshop, Creative Digital control, and Advances Photoshop Techniques.

Andy also conducts many out on location Photo Safari excursions covering Macro Photography, Water & Waterfalls Photography, Landscape Photography, Better Children Shots, Adult Candid Portraiture, and Nature Photo walks.

You will find that Andy is easy going, patient and well informed. Many students over the years continue to seek Andy out for new information, re-answer questions, or advice on a new purchase. Your learning experience with him will be well rewarded and continual!
